Warranty & Manufacturer Support — Inverters and Energy Storage Systems

This page summarizes the warranty terms for the inverters and energy storage systems distributed by SOLARKIT, as well as the manufacturers’ defect reporting procedures. For each brand, we provide detailed instructions on what documents to gather and where to send them—to ensure the process proceeds as quickly as possible.

Manufacturers covered: Huawei · Deye · SolaX · FoxESS · Dyness

Huawei — Report a Problem

Monitoring Requirement

To take advantage of the extended warranty period, you must connect to and register on the FusionSolar monitoring platform. Unmonitored devices are subject to a shorter, standard warranty period. Please inform the end user of this during installation.

Huawei — Fault Reporting Process

Device faults can only be reported via Huawei’s official support form. Please contact us with any other questions, but we can only confirm device faults through this channel.

What to Gather Before Submitting a Report

  1. A brief description of the problem (when and under what circumstances it occurred).

  2. A list of installed devices: serial number, model, quantity, installation date, and the time the fault occurred.

  3. Download the log files from the FusionSolar app—the manufacturer will need these.

Submission Process

  1. The report must be submitted through Huawei’s official support portal: Huawei Support Portal —the issue will also be assessed through this portal.

  2. DO NOT remove the device from its original location until the issue has been approved.

Important: For Huawei, the report must NOT be submitted through SOLARKIT—it must be submitted directly on the manufacturer’s portal. If you have any further questions, please contact us.

Deye — Fault Reporting Process

Repairs or replacements are performed with the manufacturer’s approval. Until then, the device must NOT be removed.

What to Gather BEFORE SUBMITTING THE FORM

  1. Brief description of the fault: serial number, model, quantity, installation date, and when the fault occurred.

  2. Photos of the wiring — clearly showing which cables connect to which ports on the inverter, as well as the communication cable.

  3. Measurements and photos of the inverter’s AC and DC measurement points, as well as the DC voltage coming from the panels.

  4. Proof of an active monitoring system—if available, this speeds up the review process.

  5. A short video of the inverter screen (at least 5–8 seconds). If there is a battery on site, a video of the battery LED indicators (at least 30 seconds).

  6. If the system is connected to the internet, grant full access to the user “info@solar-kit.hu” in the Deye cloud.

  7. You must provide the number of panels per string and the panel cross-section.

  8. The original purchase invoice must be retained.

  9. There is an official 30-day period for troubleshooting.

  10. If a service process is required, the manufacturer has 90 days to complete it.

Where to Report the Issue

The defect must be reported directly to the manufacturer or the relevant regional service center:

Important: DO NOT remove the device from its original location until photos, videos, and measurements have been taken—and approved.

SolaX Cloud Monitoring

Registration with SolaX Cloud may be a condition of the SolaX extended warranty. Monitoring must be activated in collaboration with the end user during commissioning and must be documented.

SolaX — Troubleshooting Process

For SolaX, you should contact us—the partner from whom you purchased the product or who installed it. SOLARKIT coordinates the process with the manufacturer.

What to Gather Before Startup

  1. Photos of the wiring, connections, device serial numbers, and error codes.

  2. If the battery has LED lights, a video of them (at least 30 seconds).

  3. Active monitoring system—if available, this speeds up the review process.

  4. Do not remove the device from its original location until approval is granted.

  5. Date of installation and time the fault occurred.

Fault Report

You can report a SolaX device fault directly to us: Technical Support — Contact SOLARKIT

  • An RMA form is available for device replacement.

FoxESS — Bug Reporting Process

FoxESS has its own ticket system — you must submit the bug through this system.

Reporting Procedure

  1. Submitting a bug report in the FoxESS support ticket system: FoxESS Support Ticket

The following information is required to submit a report:

  • Technician’s name and contact information

  • Product model number

  • Error code

  • Detailed description of the issue

What Happens Next

  1. Depending on the nature of the error, FoxESS may request additional details (photos, videos).

  2. It will perform or arrange for tests on the product.

  3. You must fill out the RMA form with the evidence and information requested by the manufacturer—a unique ticket number will be assigned to the RMA for status tracking.

  4. FoxESS will review and confirm the request. If applicable, the replacement product will be shipped within 3 business days of confirmation (subject to product availability).

  5. After the replacement, the technician must return the defective product to FoxESS within 30 calendar days.

Important: Product replacement is subject to FoxESS approval in all cases. Any replacement performed without approval will invalidate the claim. If the returned product is found to be defect-free, FoxESS will charge an inspection fee.

Dyness — Bug Reporting Process

48-Hour Rule: Dyness must be notified within 48 hours of discovering the bug.

Ways to Report a Bug

1. If the product is registered in the Dyness app or on the web platform:

  • Select the “Request After-Sales Service” option in the app or on the web platform.

2. If the product is not registered:

  • Fill out the warranty card provided at the time of purchase.

  • Send a copy to Dyness via email.

What You Need to Provide for the Process

  • Serial number of the defective device

  • Operating temperature and intended use

  • Manufacturer, model, and specifications of the supporting energy storage inverter

  • Power consumption equipment performance information

  • PV system configuration data

  • Description of fault symptoms and operating procedures

  • Battery operation logs

Replacement/repair process

If both parties agree that the product is covered by the warranty, Dyness or its authorized dealer will repair or replace the defective product. Prior to replacement or repair, you must coordinate with Dyness in writing and provide the serial number of the defective unit and the serial numbers of the replacement parts to be installed. The warranty for the replacement product will carry over the remaining warranty period of the original product.

Tongwei — Warranty Terms and Conditions

Product Warranty

The product warranty for Tongwei solar modules is 12 or 15 years, depending on the model. The warranty covers material defects and manufacturing defects that materially affect the module’s operation or performance. The warranty period begins upon delivery, but no later than 6 months from the date of manufacture.

Performance Warranty — Up to 30 Years

Tongwei panels’ performance warranty is among the best in the industry:

  • After the 1st year: maximum 1% power degradation

  • Years 2–30: a maximum annual decline of 0.4% (depending on the model)

  • Guaranteed minimum at the end of the 30th year: at least 87.4% of the original rated power

Making a Warranty Claim

If the solar panel’s output falls below the guaranteed level and the defect can be verifiably attributed to manufacturing, Tongwei offers the following solutions: repair, replacement, provision of an additional module (to compensate for the output loss), or a partial refund. Shipping costs are covered by the manufacturer; however, the customer is responsible for removal, reinstallation, and other logistics costs.

When the Warranty Does Not Apply

  • Improper installation or maintenance

  • Extreme environmental conditions (acidic environment, extreme heat)

  • Use of non-genuine parts

  • Improper relocation to another site

  • The warranty claim was not filed within the specified 30-day period

Tongwei — Defect Reporting Process

You can file a warranty claim for your Tongwei solar panels directly with us:

Damaged solar panel: Return is NOT possible. The damaged panel remains with the customer—SOLARKIT will provide a replacement panel.

What Voids the Warranty — For All Brands

  • Installation by an unqualified or uncertified technician

  • Physical damage after shipment (drops, water damage, improper storage)

  • Modifications or repairs performed without the manufacturer’s authorization

  • Use outside the specified operating parameters (temperature, humidity, voltage)

  • The product was not registered or connected to the required monitoring platform

  • Lack of an original purchase receipt (required for Deye products)
